In Case You Come Back

Dear living with no reason to,

I don't know who you are or if you'll come back, but I really hope you do. Because I know - or at least believe - that you are searching for something. Not something I have all the answers to, per say, but some bit of connection to a meaning or a purpose in life.

I wanted to tell you that I'm glad that in your search, you landed in this space... that at times seems to me to be so insignificant. I remember, because of attempts like yours, that all of us in many ways feel insignificant. That some days we wonder if getting out of bed or even seeing the next day is worth the emptiness that comes with our human nature, our broken relationships, our failures, and our hurts. My hope is that your visit here wasn't in vain.

I hope that if my assumptions are correct and you are looking for answers, that you find them because we're all searching for them. Look at your neighbor, your co-worker, or the bagger at the grocery store and remember that maybe they're feeling the same thing that you are. And that if, in that moment, you can offer them something of yourself that not many people make the time to offer you - that you've at least made a step. A step in the direction towards making your life what it was meant to be, how God designed you to live - loving and serving those around you despite their inabilities to love and serve you back.

Please don't forget your worth. Don't forget that people notice, though they may never share. And if you ever doubted it, please know you are loved deeply by God.

He who gave all because you are worth His everything.

Sincerely,

a fellow seeker
