Feeding Starving Children

I just participated in two hours of minimal work that will change the lives of three hundred and eighty-two children for a year. That is incredible. Nearly 450 (in the third of four shifts) people took a small amount of time out of their day in a way that can make a big difference in the lives of children. On this particular day, children in Thailand. And this shift is just a glimpse of all that has happened today - their goal was to pack 400,000 meals and by the time 5:30 PM rolled around, there were over 313,000 packed with one shift left to go!

Feed My Starving Children is a unique organization in the approach they take to fighting starvation in third world countries. A balanced and nutritious meal for six is packaged and boxed by volunteers (only) and shipped to a number of private organizations working in small communities all across the world. I would encourage you, if you are ever presented the opportunity to be a part of what they do... do it.
