Just An Update

Chocolate milk to drink? Check.
Million Dollar Spaghetti in the oven? Check.
A moment of clarity in madness? Check.

Okay, I think I'm ready.

And now, for some thoughts on our weekend in Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg...

I love weekends away. And I especially love that so far in our (almost) sixteen months of marriage we've kept up our commitment to carving out some time every three to four months to do something like this. Not just to vacation or do something in particular, but to retreat, if you will, from our everyday living to have fun, to regroup, and to set goals for our relationship.

And that we did.
Whilst finding some good deals on Christmas gifts at the outlets, eating great food, reading, enjoying sparkling grape juice and tea cookies by the fire, watching the horses in the riding stables from our balcony, riding into Gatlinburg proper, making time for an Everyday Portrait shoot (my first official!), driving through Great Smoky National Park, catching the sunset at Cades Cove, and just plain hangin' out.

It was so cold over there, but exciting to see snow:

So now, we're back - refreshed and re-energized. It's a good thing too, because Cliff's got a busy week of work ahead of him in preparation for heading out for their Broadcast Division retreat on Thursday and Friday. And me? Well, I have a big opportunity tomorrow, in the vein of my current and a potential job, and I could really use your prayers, right now. And tomorrow, specifically from 8AM to 3PM (Central). K, thanks.
