Cracker Barrel

So, that's what I've got. All the choices in the world and I'm back on to blog about the pan of Cracker Barrel leftovers Cliff just brought in from work.

The story is, I left my phone in the car. I was inside the apartment reading most of the late afternoon after being out all day. Concurrently, at work, Cliff was offered a heap of leftovers from the food catered in for (some sort of?) training. Lucky for Lampo, Cracker Barrel is next door to Financial Peace Plaza and is an oft-go-to place for good catered food. For some reason, I decided to wait until he got home to start cooking dinner tonight, which is strange because usually it's ready and waiting when he walks in the door (how absolutely domestic of me!). Cliff was supposed to get his haircut after work, so when he came in the door earlier than expected, just a few minutes ago, I knew something was up. And there it was, in all of its aluminum glory, sitting on our cluttered kitchen counter. A pan full of meatloaf, fried okra, biscuits, macaroni and cheese, corn, and carrots all from the good ol' CB. He gave me a quick kiss and hug, said an overly-excited "Now you don't have to cook tonight!", and left to get all of one half-inch chopped off the noggin'.

Have I mentioned I love my husband's job?

...mmm, time to nuke the food! Cliff is bound to return from his $5 haircut any moment now.
